I have decided to after a long and rather unpleasant discussion with my doctor not to participate in the Wimbledon tournament this year. I may have been too greedy ambitious though recovery is progressing at a steady pace.

It is a good time to catch up on the work and classes I have missed, plus I am looking forward to seeing how my first attempt at brewing beer myself has turned out. It should be done just in time to toast to the first round.

Sanada: I’m not sure if this is what you were looking for but my mother mentioned that a former colleague of my father’s has mentioned he is looking to retire to the countryside and thus intending to rent his place in Tokyo. It should be big and old fashioned enough for you.

Probably for the best, you still have plenty of Wimbledons to sign up for in the future. Going broken might put you out in the first round.

Beer? I heard making it is harder than it looks.

I know this on an intellectual level - accepting it however is much harder to do.

There is a fair amount of know-how and skill required I believe. That is why I purchase a starter kit for it. You are quite welcome to try it once it is done.

Indeed? I was not aware you had this kind of hobby. In this case I would like to hear your opinion on it once it is done. What kind of beers have you tried and which did you prefer?

I wouldn't call it a hobby so much as just something I grew up doing as a kid (my dad's best friend is a total beer connaisseur, and he was more like an uncle than anything else... everyone just calls him Papa), but I do like it a lot. I've tried basically everything under the sun, so it's kinda hard to pick a favorite. It also depends on my mood.

Mm~ Yum. Hard to go wrong with a good Lager. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works out!

It's always a difficult decision for something like that, but your health will thank you for it. It's more important to rest and recover, than risk further issues. Wimbledon will be there next year.

It sounds like you have some fun projects going on. You'll have to keep us posted on the status of the beer. I've heard it can be quite challenging.

It is my first attempt so I have no high expectations but if it comes out palatable you are welcome to try it.
